Animal Screen
The animal screen contains the animals information on top and a separate section for their medical history. The medical history will only load for existing animals.
Any fields highlighted in blue are required
General Tips
Selecting/adding people: Anytime you see an field to select a person from the system, you can start typing a first or last name to imitate a search. Results will appear and you can click on a name to select them. If no results are found you can always add a new person by clicking the "Create New Person" button in the search results. Once a person is selected the pencil icon will display a popup allowing you to edit the person.
Animal Section
The animal section has 4 tabs to organize information. From any tab you can view add or edit the animals images.
Images
Click on an image to edit it. New images are not saved until after you click save at the top of the record. You can also add images from your phone by clicking on the "Add image from phone" button and following the instructions.
Profile Tab
Important/Special Fields:
- Pet name - For NEW animals, the pet name box contains an arrow icon, if you click this icon a random name will be generated for you.
- Fur color - Required for adoption sites
- Date of birth - When changed the age automatically updates as well
- Species - The species determines the breed options. You can add more species from the settings
- Breed - You can add more breeds from the settings
- Too Young - Checking this box will disable the vaccination check when the animal is adopted (Only if the following is set in the Case settings "Allow cats and dogs under this age to be adopted without being fixed.")
Microchip Tab
The microchip tab has the current or selected microchip details loaded on the left, and the history on the right.
If an animal has no microchips you'll be prompted to add a new one.

- Staff member - Auto-filled - Staff lists only display person records where "Staff" is checked
- Issuer - Defaults to your organization for new records - The list displays person records with the "Chip Issuer" checkbox checked
- Provider - Read-only - Is determined by your microchip provider in settings
- Microchip ID - TIP: If your microchips have barcodes, you can buy a simple USB barcode scanner and have this field auto filled by scanning the barcode
- Date Sent to Provider - The last time the chip provider was updated - Only available if a microchip provider is selected and set up in settings
- Send - Keep checked to update/add the record with the microchip provider (if enabled)
- Owner When Issued - Defaults to the animals owner for new records
History Tab
The history tab show any case, licenses, or vaccination records for the animal. Clicking on the records will take you to the appropriate screen.
Behavioral Tab
If "Show behavior details on kennel card" is enabled in the animals settings, non-blank responses to the behavioral tab show up on the kennel card printouts.
Medical Record Section
The medical history section has three sections plus some notes.
Each section has 4 of the most common items on top along with their status if one is present. You can click on the plus icon next to a blank one to create one of that type, or if a record exists, you can click the pencil icon to view/edit it.
At the bottom is a list of ALL records of that type.

Special Actions/Considerations:
- Tests, medications, drugs, service types and more can all be added from the medical settings screen
- When adding a spay/neuter service, the animal will automatically be marked as "Sterilized"
- When marking a vaccine-type medication as "Complete". A new vaccine certificate record will show up and auto-fill to the information provided in the medication section. Saving the record will create/update the medication history PLUS create a new vaccination record.
