When you first sign up for your SlatePets account, there are a few things you might want to do first
Visit the support page to contact us about transferring data from your old software. We can convert almost anything in any format, database backups, csv files, etc. The cost is a flat $3,000 regardless of size and complexity.
Add other users - Users/Permissions Guide
From Settings | Payments/Accounting create or link a Stripe account if you wish to accept credit cards on SlatePets. The process is fairly easy and will require providing Stripe your business information.
This step is optional and can can be turned off at any time in the Settings. Stripe is required though for the Customer Portal to work so that customers can pay for license fees and/or send in donations.
Go to the Settings | Company Information screen to added your contact information for printouts, outgoing email reply settings, upload your logo, and choose a color for email and portal branding.
In Settings | Integrations you can:
- Choose your microchip provider
- Setup your PetFinder and Adopt-A-Pet accounts
- Setup outgoing SMS (additional fees from ClickSend)
Setup your organizations fees and donation types from Settings | Accounting
Use the Settings | Cases screen to customize the case screen with statuses, intake reasons, disposition types, etc.
Verify, add, or remove animal species, breeds, and colors from Settings | Animals
Setup the license types you offer - Licensing Guide
Set up all the medical options and choices in Settings | Medical
Add or customize the system printouts and documents - Settings | Printouts
